Privacy Policy for "Quack the Planet"

AppsFlyer ("we," "us," or "our") provides the QUACK THE PLANET mobile game (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices and rights.

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1) Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

  • Player name/initials (as entered in-app).
  • Selected country code/flag (for profile and leaderboard display).
  • In-app settings, such as audio preferences and analytics preferences.

B. Information Generated Through App Use

  • Gameplay data, such as score, run duration, speed tier, unlock progress, character selections, and gameplay/session events.
  • App-generated identifiers, including a device-scoped app identifier used to associate profile and runs.
  • Technical data needed to operate and improve the App (for example, app version, platform, or event metadata sent by analytics/attribution providers).

C. Attribution and Deep Link Data

If you open the App from a campaign/deep link, we may receive attribution fields (for example campaign/media source/deep link parameters) from attribution providers.

2) How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide core gameplay features.
  • Maintain player profile and leaderboard functionality.
  • Save settings and improve game performance and UX.
  • Measure analytics and campaign performance.
  • Prevent abuse, enforce our terms, and protect the App.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3) Analytics, Attribution, and Tracking Choices

The App uses analytics/attribution tools (including PostHog and AppsFlyer) to understand product usage and campaign performance.

iOS Tracking Permission (ATT)

On iOS, we request App Tracking Transparency permission where required before enabling certain tracking/attribution behavior.

Analytics Toggle

If your app version includes an analytics/privacy toggle in Settings, you can disable analytics/attribution collection there. You can also manage relevant permissions in your device OS settings.

4) Leaderboard Visibility

The leaderboard is a public in-app feature. Your player initials, flag/country display, and score/run performance may be visible to other players in leaderboard views.

Please avoid entering personal information in your player name/initials.

5) Where Data Is Stored

We store data in:

  • On-device storage (for local profile/settings/history data).
  • Supabase (for backend player and leaderboard-related records).
  • Service providers for analytics/attribution, including PostHog and AppsFlyer.
  • App infrastructure providers that support update delivery and related services.

6) How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information:

  • With service providers/processors that host or process data on our behalf.
  • If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights/safety.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.

7) Data Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including operating the App and leaderboard, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security.

Retention may vary by data type and provider:

  • Some data is retained locally on your device until removed/uninstalled.
  • Leaderboard/player records may be retained until deleted upon request or no longer needed.
  • Analytics/attribution providers retain data under their own retention settings and policies.

8) Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to your personal data.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of personal data.
  • Withdraw consent / opt out of certain processing where applicable.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

You can also:

  • Use in-app settings and OS settings to control certain data sharing.
  • Uninstall the App to remove local app data from your device.

9) Deletion Requests (Current Process)

To request deletion, contact us at privacy@quacktheplanet.com with subject line:

"Deletion Request - QUACK THE PLANET"

Please include enough details for us to locate your records, such as:

  • Device-scoped app identifier (if available),
  • Player initials,
  • Approximate date(s) of play,
  • Platform (iOS/Android).

We may request reasonable verification before processing.

We aim to respond within applicable legal timelines (typically within 30 days where required).

When applicable, we will delete or de-identify data from active systems and submit deletion/erasure requests to relevant processors where supported. Some data may persist temporarily in backups for security and recovery purposes.

10) Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child provided personal data, contact us at privacy@quacktheplanet.com.

11) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12) International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

13) Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice.
